Who We Are
At The Structured Canine, we believe every dog deserves the opportunity to succeed. Through structure, clear communication, relationship based and real world training, we help dogs and their owners build confidence, trust, and lasting results.
We specialize in working with dogs who need a little extra understanding or experienced handling, including large breeds, reactive dogs, and those who may not thrive in traditional training, boarding, or pet care environments. Our goal is to create calm, balanced dogs by teaching owners how to provide consistency, confident leadership, and structure in everyday life.
Our mission is simple: to keep dogs in loving homes whenever possible, strengthen the bond between people and their dogs, and provide compassionate, individualized care that sets both ends of the leash up for success.
Services
Training
Private Training
Individual sessions tailored to your dog’s unique needs and your goals. This training program teaches the core skills that shape everyday behavior and structure. Your dog will work on leash communication, structured walking, place and duration work, calm neutrality around people and dogs, door and boundary respect, crate structure, and impulse control in real world environments.
An immersive training experience where your dog stays with us while receiving consistent, individualized training throughout their stay. Typically lasting 2–4 weeks, this program is ideal for owners who want quick results or dogs who need more structure, consistency, and focused development than weekly sessions can provide, including dogs working on obedience, leash manners, impulse control, reactivity, or household behavior.
Group Classes
Build better manners, improve impulse control, and strengthen your relationship with your dog through structured group training. Practice obedience, build confidence, and develop calm behavior around other dogs in a guided, controlled environment.

In-Home Pet Care
Specialized in home pet care for reactive and large breed dogs who aren't the right fit for traditional pet sitters, boarding facilities, or daycare. We provide experienced, personalized care in the comfort of your dog's home, where they feel safest.
Limited Availability
Day Camp
Drop your dog off for a full day of structured training, agility, exercise, enrichment and rest. Your dogs also have the opportunity to socialize with other dogs, but only if specifically requested. Instead of simply coming home tired, your dog comes home having worked their brain, body and behavior.
The Structured Stay Boarding
A calm, structured home based boarding experience for dogs who need more than traditional boarding. This exclusive service is available to a limited number of clients and requires a behavioral evaluation prior to booking.
Boarding + Training
Online Coaching
Personalized guidance from the comfort of home. Online coaching provides individualized training plans, video feedback, and ongoing support to help you build structure, communication, and reliable behavior with your dog.
Meet the Owner
I’m Jaimee, the owner and trainer behind The Structured Canine.
My journey with dogs started in rescue and foster work, where I have spent years working hands on with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds. I quickly found myself drawn to the ones that needed a little more. Reactive dogs, powerful dogs, dogs with behavioral issues, and dogs that others had already decided were too difficult.
Those dogs taught me the importance of communication, structure, boundaries, and relationship. Along the way, I was fortunate to mentor Jose with JD Powerhouse Bootcamp. Jose was a successful trainer who whose guidance and confidence helped me grow as a trainer and trust my own instincts when working with challenging dogs.
After working in Human Resources, I eventually decided to build a career around something I was naturally skilled at and genuinely passionate about. Working with dogs.
I created The Structured Canine because I wanted to offer something I felt was missing. A place for dogs that don't fit neatly into traditional daycare, boarding, or training environments, with an approach built around the individual dog rather than a cookie cutter program.
My goal isn't robotic obedience or changing a dog's personality. It's helping dogs understand what is expected of them, build confidence and neutrality, and develop the skills they need to navigate real life.
I believe structure gives dogs clarity. Clarity builds confidence. And confidence gives dogs more freedom.
